Riverboat "Micaela II" for Poser, DAZ-Studio and as .OBJ
--------------------------------------------------------

Update Oct. 04. 2011:
The DAZ-Studio-Preset was now completely replaced with a Poser-Runtime!
Unfortunately the DAZ-scene-format wrote some nasty, hidden files including my local HD-path during safing the model
as a scene-preset in a so called "data"-folder.
This format made a lot of troubles when trying to install the model on other computers than mine, due this damn local HD-path
and some other unsolved, annoying error-messages.
I converted the complete model now to a Poser-Prop (.pp2) to avoid the troubles of the DAZ-scene-preset.
Advantage is, that it now runs in Poser and DAZ-Studio regardless of the used DAZ-Studio version.
Disadvantage is, that all materials load with the typical Poser-Preset and you have to adjust the shaders and bumpmaps manually.

Windows: Unzip all files of the Runtime-folder in the "Micaela-II for Poser"-folder to your Poser 6 or 7 folder.
Mac: Unzip all files to a folder and copy them into to your Poser 6 or 7 folder. Please don't overwrite existing files or folders.
I hope, that it will work in Poser; i use DAZ-Studio only and so i wasn't able to do a real test in Poser, but the internal paths of
the .cr2 were correct when i checked them in a text-editor.

Made with "Hexagon 2.5". Tested in DAZ-Studio 3.0.1.144 Advanced Edition 64 Bit.
For Poser-users or use/adapt in other 3D-Software you will find all files in the "Riverboat"-folder to convert it to your own uses.

If you don't want the Window-Shutters before the Windows go to the Shader/Surfaces-Tab of DAZ-Studio, search for "Window-Shutter" in the
Material-settings and set the opacity of the windows you want without a shutter to 0%
In the same way you can manipulate/change almost every part of the boat or load you own textures and materials.

Moving the Doors and the crane:
You can open and close the doors and rotate the crane via the Parameters-Tab and Y-Rotate.

Removing the Windows-shutters:
To remove all or some of the Window-Shutters that are set over the windows, go into the "Surface-Tab" and there you will find
the material-zones for "Windowshutter1" to "Windowshutter8". Just set the opacity of the shutter(s) to 0% ti made them invisible.

The "Rivereboat as OBJ"-Folder

This contains the Riverboat as .OBJ for Import in DAZ, Poser, Blender, Vue and almost every other 3D-application.
If you import in DAZ-Studio choose "Micaela-II.obj" for import with the settings:

From: Poser (1 Unit = 8ft)
Read Groups X
Read UV-Coordinates X
Read Surfaces X
Read Material Library X

in other 3D-applications you may have to set different settings or resize the imported model later to fit in your scene.

it's the same Boat as in the Poser-Runtime, except that the doors and crane are not moveable. Removing the Windos-Shutters
work as well as in the Poser-version.

Known issues:
Vue 9 Studio (and maybe Vue in general) may made some troubles to find the "bumpertyres.jpg" and "bumpertyres-rope.jpg"
and ask you to relocate them by asking for "ertyres.jpg" and "ertyres-rope.jpg" when you import the boat.
I have no idea what's wrong here. The shortest way to fix this is to choose "No to all" and set this materials later
in the Material-Editor of Vue again.

The boat-design was inspired by the "Micaela I" as seen in the movie "Anaconda" (1997) and modeled for my
Sucuriju-series (that, surprise, surprise, starring a giant Anaconda too ;-) at http://www.ancestorsrelic.deviantart.com
